OUR PROJECTS
Our projects are dedicated to supporting and empowering lives.
The Living Library Project
The Living Library Project is a transformative endeavor designed to foster understanding, empathy, and open dialogue within our community. Unlike traditional libraries, the Living Library features human "books" – individuals with diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives who are willing to share their stories and engage in conversations with readers.
In this living, breathing library, readers can "check out" these human books for personal conversations, where they have the opportunity to learn about different cultures, lifestyles, and life journeys. It's a unique and powerful way to challenge stereotypes, reduce prejudice, and promote tolerance.
Our Living Library Project aims to break down barriers, promote inclusivity, and build connections among community members who may not have otherwise interacted. By offering this platform for shared experiences and stories, we hope to inspire meaningful conversations that lead to greater acceptance, empathy, and unity within our community.
Join us in this journey of discovery and understanding as we continue to grow our Living Library and provide a space where the power of storytelling can shape a more compassionate and connected world.
Home Safe Project
The Home Safe Project is a compassionate and vital initiative dedicated to supporting survivors of domestic abuse, violence, and rape as they transition to new, safe accommodations. This project recognizes the need for survivors to rebuild their lives and regain their independence while ensuring their safety and well-being.
Our mission within the Home Safe Project is to provide survivors with the essential items and resources they require to furnish their new homes, creating a secure and comfortable environment. This includes furniture, household appliances, bedding, and other necessities.
Through this project, we aim to empower survivors by offering them a fresh start and the opportunity to rebuild their lives free from violence and fear. We believe that everyone deserves a safe and supportive home, and the Home Safe Project is dedicated to making this a reality for survivors in our community.
By supporting this initiative, you can play a crucial role in helping survivors on their path to healing and recovery, ensuring that they have the tools they need to create a new and secure beginning.
